The Analytics module allows users to visualize student data in many ways.

Written by Monica Burke

🎯 Purpose

The Analytics module in Otus allows teachers and administrators to visualize student data in many different ways. From tracking attendance and recognitions to analyzing assessment performance and standards mastery, Analytics brings your most important data together in one place, making it easier to understand student needs and make informed instructional decisions.

💡 Who is this for? Teachers use Analytics to monitor student performance within their classes. Administrators and Main Admins have access to expanded reporting tools, including Reports and Exports, to support district-wide decision-making.

💡 Why Use Analytics?

Visualize student data across multiple dimensions like attendance, assessments, standards, and more, all in one module.

Identify trends and patterns in student performance to inform instruction and intervention.

Monitor attendance and recognition data to support the whole student.

Run district-level queries and historical reports to track progress over time.

Export data as CSV files for deeper analysis or sharing with stakeholders.

Connect assessment results to standards mastery for a complete picture of student growth.

⚙️ How It Works

For Teachers

Analytics is located toward the bottom of the navigation menu in a teacher account. Teachers can access 3rd Party, Attendance, Recognitions, Assessment, and Standards Analytics to monitor performance within their classes. Note: The Reports tab is not available in teacher accounts.

For Administrators

Analytics is located toward the top of the navigation menu in an administrator account. Admins have access to all Analytics views, plus the Reports tab for running district-level queries, historical reports, and report cards.

For Main Admins

Main Admins have full access to all Analytics features, including the Exports tab — which allows for CSV downloads of student usage data, teacher usage data, assigned assessments, and more.

💡Tip: Use Assessment Analytics and Standards Analytics together to connect assignment-level performance to broader patterns in skill mastery across your class or district.
