When you select the Assessments module from the navigation menu on the left side, you are first taken to your Drafts Assessments page.

➡️ General Information

  • This page contains all of your draft assessments, including those that have been sent to you by other teachers and administrators.

  • You can organize your draft assessments by using folders; check out this resource to see how to create and use assessment folders.

  • This is also where you would go to create an assessment; just select Create Assessment in the upper right hand corner.

  • Selecting an assessment will take you to the assessment builder to edit the content of that assessment.

In this article, you will find the following sections:

My Folders

You arrive on the Drafts Assessment Page in your My Folders > All section. This is the home for:

  • Assessments and assessment folders you have created or cloned.

  • Assessments that have been sent to you from another teacher.

  • Unlocked assessments that have been sent to you from an administrator.

💡 Tip from the Otus Team: If you have been sent a locked assessment or an assessment folder from an administrator, you can find those in your Shared With Me section.

Assessment Folders

Don't have any assessment folders yet? Check out this resource to see how to create and use assessment folders.

  • Your assessment folders will be listed in alpha-numeric order.

  • Selecting the ellipsis for a folder will allow you to Edit or Delete the folder.

  • If you are an administrator, you will have the ability to share or Manage User Access. For more information, please see this resource.

❓ What about + (Plus) Assessments? Why aren't they listed here? Plus assessments are never actually in draft form since they are added directly to the gradebook. For more information on + (Plus) Assessments, check out this resource.

Shared With Me

The Shared With Me > All section of your Drafts Assessment Page is the home for:

  • Locked assessments that have been sent to you from an administrator.

  • Assessment folders that have been shared with you from an administrator.

💡 Tip from the Otus Team: All assessments in a shared assessment folder are locked; there is not an option to have an unlocked assessment in a shared assessment folder.

Shared Assessment Folders

  • The shared assessment folders will be listed in alpha-numeric order.

  • If you are an administrator, you will have the ability to share or Manage User Access for the shared assessment folders. For more information, please see this resource.

Individual Locked Assessments

  • Any locked assessment that has been sent to you will be listed in chronological order based on when it was sent.

  • Each assessment will have a paper airplane icon followed by a padlock icon. Hovering over the paper airplane icon will show you who sent the assessment. The padlock icon is a visual to indicate that this is a locked assessment.

  • Selecting the ellipsis for an assessment will give you the following options based on the type of assessment:

Below you will find all of the options listed in the ellipsis, followed be the assessment type(s) they apply to: Rubric (R), Advanced (A), Simple (S), and Bubble Sheet (B). You will also find corresponding articles linked to each assessment type.

  • Assign (All): Assign an assessment.

  • Preview (R, A, S): Preview an assessment as a student would see it.

  • Print (A, S): Available in the ellipsis for Advanced and Simple assessments, but you can print Rubrics and Bubble Sheets from another location.

  • Print Answer Key (A, S): Print answer keys for Advanced and Simple assessments.

  • Delete (All): Delete your assessment. Please read the details located on this article before deleting a draft assessment.

❗ If you are within a shared assessment folder...

  • You will not see the Delete option if you are on a locked assessment that is within a folder. You can't delete an assessment from a shared folder.

  • Do you see an option that says "Clone to My Folders"? That means the administrator that shared the folder has enabled the ability to clone the assessment. If you clone the assessment, it will appear in your My Folders section.
