❗Deleting an assessment will permanently remove the assessment from your account. Please use caution when deleting assessments.

If you are looking to remove assessment grades, you'll want to unassign the assessment, rather than delete it. Check out this article to see how to unassign an assessment.

How to Delete an Assessment

  • Step 1: Navigate to your Draft Assessments section.
  • Step 2: Click on the ellipses to the right of the desired assessment.
  • Step 3: Select Delete.

Again, please consider the permanent deletion of the data and assessment before deleting an assessment.

What happens when you delete a draft assessment?

Points Gradebook:

  • The scores from deleted rubric and simple assessments are removed.
  • The scores from deleted advanced assessments are not removed. The assessment must be unassigned in order for the points to be removed from the gradebook.

Standards Gradebook:

  • Deleting any type of assessment will not remove the standards data from the standards gradebook. The assessment must be unassigned in order for the standards data to be removed from the gradebook.

💡 Tip from the Otus Team: If you've deleted an assessment and are no longer able to unassign it and remove the scores, it will need to be unassigned by our development team. Please reach out to us in the chat feature, and we'll help get that taken care of!

List of Assigned Assessments:

  • Deleted rubric and simple assessments are removed from the student and teacher's list of assigned assessments.
  • Deleted advanced assessments are not removed from the student and teacher's list of assigned assessments. The assessment must be unassigned in order for it to be removed from the list of assigned assessments.
