Gradebook
If your district has enabled the Gradebook module, this will be the first page you see when you log in to your Family Account. The Gradebook provides a snapshot of your student’s overall performance across all classes.
Click on any class to view more detailed information, including individual assessment scores and standards-based data—if your school uses those features.
Activity
The Activity page helps you stay up to date with what’s happening in your student’s classes. You’ll see:
A Notification Feed that highlights recent class activity, such as posted assignments or teacher updates.
A To Do list that shows any upcoming or overdue lessons and assessments your student needs to complete.
My Students
The My Students page displays a tile for each student connected to your Family Account.
Each tile includes:
Your student’s name and profile photo, which you can click to view their class list.
A count of recognitions they’ve received:
+ for positive recognitions
– for negative recognitions
To see the details of a student’s recognitions, visit the Classes section of this guide.
❗Don't see any students listed? That means you haven't linked your student to your account yet. Click here for instructions on how to connect a student.
Plans
If enabled by your district, the Plans module allows family members to view and, in some cases, update their student’s support or learning plans. These plans may include goals, accommodations, interventions, and progress updates.
❗Note: Access to this module—and the ability to make updates—is determined by your district’s settings. Not all family accounts will have this feature.
Reports
The Reports module provides access to third-party assessment data, such as NWEA, PARCC, and other standardized test results—if your district has chosen to share them through Otus. These reports offer additional insight into your student’s academic progress over time.
❗Note: This module is available only if enabled by your district. Not all family accounts will have access to this information.
Classes
The Classes module allows family members to view important information about each of their student’s classes.
Here’s what you can do on this page:
Click on any class tile to open the Class Board and see announcements, resources, or updates from the teacher.
Click the + or – icons at the bottom of a tile to view your student’s Recognitions (positive and negative) for that specific class.
Click the envelope icon in the top-right corner of a tile to email the teacher directly.
Use the "Email All Teachers" icon to send a message to all of your student’s teachers at once.
Portfolio
The Portfolio lets family members view a curated collection of your student’s work. This includes assessments and projects selected by the student and/or teacher to showcase learning progress. The portfolio may also include items that track learning goals and highlight exceptional achievements.
Shows assessments that have been chosen by the student and/or teacher.

Blog
Family members can view their student’s blog posts and any comments made on them. Teachers often use the blog feature as a discussion board to encourage communication and reflection.
