Add a student to your Otus family account.

To add a student to your account, a student code is needed. You will either receive the code from your student's teacher, or you can locate it in your student's Otus account. Read on for further instructions!

💡 Tip: Do you have more than one child/student with an Otus account? You can link multiple students to the same family account.


Link a Student to Your Account

If you already have your student code, follow the instructions below to link the student to your account:

  • Step 1: From the My Students screen, select Add a Student.

  • Step 2: Enter the student code.

  • Step 3: Choose your relationship to the student.

  • Step 4: Select Done.

❗ After adding a student, please refresh your browser or sign out and back in to your account to ensure that the student's information has been fully synced.


Locate the Student Code in a Student Account

After the student logs in, have them open their profile icon at the bottom left and select Edit Profile.

Did you receive an error when you tried to link the student?

If so, please check the following:

  • The codes are case-sensitive. Make sure uppercase and lowercase letters are correctly used.

  • For characters that resemble a vertical line, try using both an uppercase "i" and a lowercase "L". They look identical when typed, so we always recommend trying both.

  • Double-check that you are using the correct code as given to you by the student's teacher and/or log in to the student's Otus account and verify the student code using the instructions above.

  • When viewing the student code in your student's account, we suggest using a desktop computer or tablet. If you need to use a mobile phone, please try to view the screen horizontally. When viewed vertically on a phone screen, characters in the student code may be cut off.

Where can I find grades for my student? I don't see a gradebook.

If you just linked a student to your account, you will need to refresh your browser or log out and then back in to see the gradebook.
