Live Progress gives teachers the ability to monitor student progress in real time during Advanced Assessments. From a single page, you can see each student's current status, engagement level, and which item they are working on.

š Key Features
Feature | What It Does |
Live Status | Shows whether a student has not started, is in progress, has paused, or has submitted the assessment |
Activity Status | Indicates whether a student is actively working, inactive on the page, or has had no activity recorded yet |
Current Item Number | Displays the specific item number the student is currently working on |
Real-Time Monitoring | Data updates live as students interact with the assessment; no need to refresh |
š Access Live Progress
There are two ways to open the Live Progress page.
Option 1: From the Assigned Assessments List
Navigate to Assigned Assessments from the left-hand menu.
Locate the assessment you want to proctor.
Click the ... button next to the assessment.
Select Live Progress from the dropdown menu.
Option 2: From Inside the Assessment
Click directly on the assigned assessment to open it.
In the top right-hand corner, click the Live Progress button.
š Live Progress Statuses
Once you're on the Live Progress page, you'll see a table with the following columns:

First Name | The student's first name |
Last Name | The student's last name |
The student's current progress status in the assessment | |
The student's current engagement level on the page | |
Current Item Number | The item number the student is currently working on |
Total Students: | Number of students currently in the assessment |
Submitted: | Assessments submitted / Total students assigned in class |
š” Live Status:
Status | What It Means |
In Progress | The student is actively working on the assessment |
Submitted | The student has completed and submitted the assessment |
Paused | The student is clicking submit on their assessment |
ā”Active:
Status | What It Means |
Active | The student is active in their browser |
Inactive | The student has clicked outside of their browser |
No activity | The student has submitted the assessment |
ā ļø Important: When Does Activity Tracking Begin?
Live Progress begins collecting activity data when the teacher opens the Live Progress page. Keep the following in mind:
Only actions taken after you open the Live Progress page will be displayed.
If a student started the assessment before you opened Live Progress, their earlier actions will not appear in the activity log.
Only students who are actively taking the assessment will appear in table.
