🎯 Why Use Progress Learning

Progress Learning assessments provide districts with standards-aligned practice assessments for college entrance exams and state tests. These assessments help educators measure student readiness, identify learning gaps, and monitor progress toward major assessments such as the ACT, SAT, AP exams, and state accountability tests. When used in Otus, assessment data can be analyzed alongside classroom assessments and student performance data, giving educators a more complete picture of student readiness and growth.

Identify gaps early with benchmark data

✅ Deliver targeted support with individual remediation

✅ Ensure readiness for high-stakes testing

Monitor progress with detailed, real-time reporting

Meet state graduation or accountability mandates

⚙️ How It Works

Once Progress Learning has been added to your Otus contract, Progress Learning assessments are shared with districts through assessment folders in Otus. From these folders, districts can assign assessments to students and collect results directly within the platform. How the results are processed and reviewed in Otus may vary depending on the assessment type.

Step 1: District receives the shared folders from their CXP.

Step 2: District/teachers assign assessments to classes.

Step 3: District/teachers can access data in Assessment Analytics.

Step 4: Otus shares Analytics data with Client Data Team. (This is done by the CXP.)

Step 5: Processed scores are visible in 3rd Party Data. (Not applicable for AP)

ACT Assessment Workflow

Expand

  1. Assessment is assigned to classes.

  2. Students submit the assessment.

  3. Assessment data is available in Assessment Analytics.

  4. Raw scores are converted to scaled scores using Progress Learning transformation tables. (This is done by the Otus team.)

  5. Scaled score conversions are then available under ACT in 3rd Party Analytics after processing. (not sure about that wording)

PSAT/SAT Workflow

Expand

  1. All students are assigned Form A of the assessment.

  2. Based on their score for version A, students will be assigned either Form E (easy) or Form H (hard) to complete the assessment.

    1. 💡 For scoring table information, please contact your CXP.

  3. Results are sent to Assessment Analytics for reporting and analysis.

  4. Raw scores are converted to scaled scores using Progress Learning transformation tables. (This is done by the Otus team.)

  5. Scaled score conversions are then available in 3rd Party Analytics after processing.
