Learning is more than just grades. It’s about building real-world skills and tracking growth over time. The Skills-Based Portfolio brings this to life by giving students and teachers a space to showcase meaningful work aligned to district-selected skills. Artifacts are tagged with the skills they demonstrate, along with reflections on the learning process. It’s a powerful way to promote ownership, celebrate progress, and showcase learning. In this article, you’ll get an overview of the Skills-Based Portfolio's key features and learn where to find detailed instructions for each task.

⚙️ How It Works
Work with your Otus Client Experience Partner to configure district-specific skills and activate the Skills-Based Portfolio.
Both students and teachers can upload artifacts, tag them with the district-specific skills, and add reflections to document the learning process.
Color-coded skill tags provide a clear visual of which competencies are being demonstrated.
In terms of ownership and access, students can edit or delete any artifacts they’ve added, while teachers can manage the ones they’ve contributed.
