ShareFile is a secure and easy-to-use file sharing service provided by Citrix. This guide will walk you through the basic steps to access and use ShareFile.
Accessing ShareFile:
Open a web browser: ShareFile is a web-based application, which means you can access it using any web browser like Chrome, Firefox, Safari, or Edge.
Log In: Enter your username and password on the ShareFile login page. If you don’t remember your username or password, click on the “Forgot Password” link to reset it.
Navigating ShareFile:
Dashboard: After logging in, you’ll be taken to your Dashboard. This is where you can see recent activity and quickly access your files and folders.
File Box: The File Box is a temporary storage area for your files. Any file that you upload will stay in the File Box for 24 hours before it is automatically deleted.
Personal Folders: This is your private storage space. Only you have access to the files and folders stored here unless you decide to share them with others.
Sharing Files with ShareFile:
Choose the file or folder to share: Navigate to the file or folder you want to share. Click the checkbox to the left of the item(s) you wish to share.
Select “Share” from the options: After checking the box, click the “Share” button on the top navigation menu. A dialog box will open.
Enter recipient email addresses: In the dialog box, type in the email addresses of the people you want to share the file or folder with. You can add a personal message if you want.
Set access permissions: You can allow the recipients to view, download, or upload files. Make your selection and click the “Send” button.
❗ Remember to log out of your ShareFile account when you are done using it, especially when accessing it from a public computer.
