Do you need to download a list of missing assessments for a class or for an individual student? If so, you've come to the right place!
Download a Missing Assessments Report for a Class
❗ Important Note: Downloading a missing assessments report for an entire class is only available in the Assessments view of the gradebook. Some districts may choose to use a Standards view only, in which case you will not see an Assessments tab in your gradebook.
Step 1: Navigate to the Gradebook module.
Step 2: If needed, click to view the Assessments tab in your gradebook (districts primarily using standards-based grading may see the Standards tab on the left, and the Assessments tab on the right).
Step 3: Use the drop down menu to specify which class you wish to view data in.
Step 4: Select the ellipsis menu at the top right of the Gradebook.
Step 5: Select Missing Assessments.
➡️ The report will be downloaded as a .csv file, and will include the following information for each student:
Student name
Student email
SIS ID
All assessments with a current status of "Missing" in Otus
💡 Tip: The report will ONLY include assessments with a submission status that appears as Missing in Otus. It does not include assessments that have not been submitted if there is no status listed. Click here to learn more about the Missing status.
Download a Missing Assessments Report for an Individual Student
From the Gradebook
Navigate to the Assessments gradebook view by following Steps 1-3 in the section above.
Click on the name of a student to view their individual gradebook.
From the individual student gradebook view, select the ellipsis menu and the top right and choose Missing Assessments.
➡️ The report will be downloaded as a .csv file with the student's name and the class name included in the title of the file. It will only include assessments that have a submission status of Missing in Otus. It includes the following columns:
Assessment name
Status
Assessment Type (e.g. assignment, homework, quiz, etc.)
Due date
From the Student Profile
This option is best for districts who do not have the Assessments view of the gradebook.
Step 1: From the Classes module, select the class that contains the student.
Step 2: Select the student. This will take you to that student's Student Profile.
Step 3: Navigate to the Reports section of the Student Profile. By default, the table will display a list of assessments assigned to that student in all classes (not just the ones you teach). Use the dropdown to filter to a specific class.
Step 4: Download a CSV of this table by selecting the download icon in the upper-right corner.
Step 5: Using Excel, you can sort column D to order the assessments by Submission Status OR filter column D to display only those with a Missing status.
