🎯 Purpose

The Student Profile in Otus is a centralized hub for viewing individual student information. It is divided into four main sections: Profile, Content, Reports, and Information. This article focuses on the Reports section, where you can access assessment data, including results from external assessments, to support data-driven instruction.

💡Who is this for: Teachers, Co-Teachers, and Admins to review individual student assessment data, recognitions, attendance, and 3rd party data.

🚪 Access Student Profile

Navigate to the Students tab of the Classes module.

  • Click on a student's name to see their Student Profile

  • From there, click the Reports tab.

📋 Assessment List

When first selecting the Reports section, the default view will be a list of the student's assessments that have been assigned for all classes.

  • Change classes: Use the dropdown menu in the upper-right corner.

  • Assessments: All classes will be listed (not just those you teach).

  • Sorting: When viewing the assessment list, you can sort any column by clicking the column header. Clicking the column header a second time will reverse the sort. The assessment list can be sorted by:

    • Assessment title

    • Total points

    • Date submitted

    • Submission status

    • Completion status

💡 Tip: To bring all "Missing" assessments to the top of the list, click twice on the Submission Status column header.

  • N/A: If you see an n/a under the Points column, that means the particular assessment is a standards-based assessment. Since standards-based assessments do not have a point total, n/a is placed in that column.

  • Assessment Details: Select any Advanced, Simple, or Rubric assessment to view it in greater detail.

    • Teachers: Can view the assessments you have assigned.

    • Co-Teachers: Can view assessments in your shared classes.

    • Admins: Can view assessments for students you have permission to see.

💡 Tip from the Otus Team: Only the eight most recent assessments appear on the list by default; scroll down to see more assessments.

Use the dropdown at the top of the Reports section to select Recognitions.

  • The default view will show you all of the recognitions given to this student from all of their classes.

  • Classes dropdown: Use the you would like to select an individual class to view.

From this page, select the ellipsis to:

  • Change the date/time stamp of a recognition that you have given.

  • Add a note to a recognition that you have given (by selecting the ellipsis)

  • Delete a recognition that you have given.

ℹ️ While teachers can only edit or delete recognitions they have given, admins can edit any recognition.

Use the dropdown at the top of the Reports section to select Attendance.

❗ Attendance may not be available for all districts. If you do not see an attendance log, our district may not be using Otus to track attendance.

  • The default view will show you all of the attendance entries from all their classes.

  • Use the Classes dropdown if you would like to filter by individual class.

If the student has 3rd Party Data in Otus, it will be displayed here, at the bottom of the Reports page of the Student Profile.
