Whether you're starting a fresh conversation, following up on a previous one, or revisiting a past chat, the Insights Chat is designed to make data exploration fast, flexible, and actionable.

💬 New Chats
Step 1: Click AI Insights in the left-hand navigation bar.
Step 2: Click New Chat to begin a fresh conversation.
Step 3: Click into the text bar that reads "Ask a question to get started."
Step 4: Type your question or prompt, then press Enter or click the paper airplane icon to submit.
Insights will generate a response and automatically title the chat so you can return to it at any time.
💡 Pro Tip: The "Context + Task" Formula
To get the most useful results, structure your prompt in three parts:
Context: Tell the AI what data to look at ("Looking at the Unit 3 Test")
Task: Tell it what you want done ("identify the 3 most difficult questions")
Format: Specify how to present the results. ("and provide them in a table.")
Final: Looking at the Unit 3 Test, identify the 3 most difficult questions and provide them in a table.
Working Within a Chat
Ask follow-up questions or start a new line of inquiry within the same chat.
Use the stop button to halt answer generation at any time.
Responses may appear as bar charts, pie charts, tables, or text, depending on what best fits the question.
Select specific students from the results and click Add to Groups to take immediate action.
Use the download option to export results for sharing or record-keeping.
🕓 Manage Chat History
Locate the Recents panel on the left-hand side of the AI Insights Module. Your most recent conversations are listed there.
Click the expand/collapse arrow to show or hide the full list of chats.
Click any chat title to reopen and continue that conversation.
To rename or delete a chat, click the three vertical dots (⋮) next to the chat title and select Rename or Delete.
‼️ Chats are saved for 30 days. After this, they will be cleared from your history.
