✅ Prerequisites
Before you begin, make sure you have:
An active Otus family account. Don't have an account yet? Learn how here.
At least one student linked to your account.
🧠 Get to Know the Dashboard
Step 1: Log in to Otus. On the My Students page, select the student whose dashboard you want to open.
Step 2: You'll land on the Student Dashboard. It has three main parts:
1️⃣ Student overview: The title shows your student's name, with the current grading period and its date range just below (your district sets these dates, so they follow your school's calendar). The card beneath shows their photo, school, and grade level, so you always know whose information you're viewing.
2️⃣ View Class Grades: The button that opens your student's classes and current grades.
3️⃣ Assignments: Assessments Due and Assessments Missing show counts of your student's work. The number on each row tells you how many.
🧭 Explore Each Pathway
Think of the dashboard as your starting point. Each area below opens a closer look at how your student is doing, so you can go straight to what you care about most.

👀 View Class Grades
Select View Class Grades to open the Classes page.
You'll see a list of your student's classes for the current grading period. If your district uses more than one grading period, you can change it with the Grading Period dropdown at the top. Each class shows the class name, the teacher's name, and your student's grades.
Select any class to find the teacher's contact information, view assessment details, and see standards performance.
❌ Assessments Missing
Select Assessments Missing to open the Assessments page, pre-filtered to Missing.
This view shows all assessments in the current grading period across all classes. Use the Grading Period and Class drop-downs to adjust either one if needed.
ℹ️ Missing assessments are those that have passed their due date without a submission, or that have been marked as "missing."
✏️ Assessments Due
Select Assessments Due to open the Assessments page, pre-filtered to Due.
This is the same Assessments page, now showing work that's due. You can switch between All, Due, Missing, and Graded at any time using the status buttons.
Due assessments are those that haven't been submitted or graded yet.

I don't see any missing or due assessments. Is something wrong?
Nothing is wrong, and that's good news. When the counts show zero, your student is caught up for the current grading period. The dashboard only lists work that is missing or still due.
What's the difference between Missing and Due?
Both describe where a piece of work stands, and it's normal for an assessment to appear in both categories. Due means the assignment hasn't been submitted or graded yet. Missing means its due date has passed without a submission or the assignment has been marked "missing." An assignment that's past due and still not turned in may show up as both due and missing.
I have more than one student. How do I check the other one?
You can reach every student linked to your account. Open the menu with the three lines in the top left, then select Switch Students to choose a different child.
