Accessing Otus AI in Assessment Analytics
Step 1: Click the Analytics module in the left-hand navigation bar.
Step 2: Click on the Assessments tab.
Step 3: Choose the Assessment from the dropdown list.
Optional - Select a date range and/or apply filters in the top right corner.
Step 4: Click the Insights button to launch Otus Insights.
Insights Prompts
Assessments Analytics Insights dynamically generates prompts based on the specific data shown on the page, such as assessment titles, statuses, and standards data that have been collected, etc.
Once you select a prompt, Otus Insights reviews the data from multiple sources and provides a detailed response that can include:
Descriptive insights
Summary tables with the option to download data in a CSV
Organized sections for easy interpretation
Asking Custom Questions
Beyond example prompts, you can ask custom or follow-up questions to provide a deeper analysis of student performance and learning trends.
Step 1: Enter your question in the "Type message..." box.
Type your new question below the example prompts.
Type your follow-up question beneath the AI’s response.
Follow-up questions can help you do things such as:
Refine the AI’s response according to your needs
Expand on a particular aspect of the response
Build out a plan for recommended standards-aligned activities
Draft an email to an audience
💡 Tip: Be specific about the information you want. By refining your questions, you'll receive more meaningful, actionable responses from Otus Insights.
Taking Action & Giving Feedback
At the bottom of each response, you'll find four action icons:
🔄 Regenerate – Replace the current response with a new response.
📋 Copy – Copy the entire response to paste into another document or tool.
👍👎 Giving Feedback (Optional) – Provide feedback on accuracy and usefulness.
Evaluate a response as “good” or “bad” by clicking on a thumb icon.
Add more information about your feedback.
Select an adjective or type in your feedback and send.
Close the window if you don’t want to give more information about your feedback.

Otus Insights is a new, continuously evolving feature and relies on user feedback to improve. All feedback received is tracked and analyzed by people at Otus. Your feedback could help improve Otus Insights for all educators using it. Adding more information to your feedback using tags or text makes it even more actionable.

I don't see Insights as an option in my Assessment Analytics.
This feature is available for participating districts; not all users will have this feature enabled. If you are interested in enabling this feature, have your district administration reach out to your Otus Client Experience Partner.
Will it generate images, video, and or audio in the response?
The data generated in this report will be presented in formatted text, tables, and charts, which are able to be downloaded and copied.
Can I share data with family members?
By using the Download or Copy option, you can easily share the generated results via email or printed copy. However, to protect student privacy, ensure you only share information relevant to the intended student, not others in the class.
