The Otus Chat Feature

You can chat with an Otus Support Specialist to answer any questions, as well as receive updates regarding new features and releases!

While logged into Otus, you can chat live with a member of the Otus Support Team between the hours of 7am and 6pm (CST), Monday through Friday. If you reach out to us outside of our regular office hours, automated support is available 24 hours a day.

Support hours may vary. If the hours have been adjusted, you will see a notification within the chat feature.

How to Send us a Chat

From the Home Screen, select the Chat Bubble in the lower, right-hand side of the screen.

To send us a message, simply select the Send us a message option. From there, navigate through the options (only two or three clicks), provide us with any pertinent information, and ask away!

💡 Tip: To get a transcript of your chat, open the chat, click the top portion, then select the download symbol.

Additional Features

There are four sections of the chat feature:


When you first select the chat icon, you will be in the Home section.

In this section, you will see:

  • Your most recent message at the top.

  • The option to send us a new message.

  • A place to search for help articles (A few popular articles are pinned to the chat for quick access).

  • The option to share an idea with us.

  • The current status of the website.

  • View the webpage that lists the most recent updates in Otus.

  • A link to the Otus Professional Development Library that includes all of our Otus Live videos.


In this section, you will find all of your previous messages, as well as any messages that were sent to you regarding product updates or alerts. You can also start a new message thread from this location.


Our extensive help center is available right within this chat feature! Selecting the Help section will allow you to search our help articles by keyword, as well as navigate through each of the specific article collections. Once you select an article, the chat window will expand to show you the article's contents.

💡 Tip: To see the article in your browser (rather than in the chat feature), scroll to the bottom of the article and select Open in help center.


The News section shows you the News Feed, which is a place to view any posts or new releases from our team! You can click on any post to see the details.

💡 Tip: To close the chat window at any time, select the "collapse" button in the bottom-right corner.

Can I see my previous messages and chats?

Yes. Select the Messages tab at the bottom of the chat feature to see your previous messages.

How can I close the chat window?

Select the "collapse" button in the bottom-right corner.

What are your office hours?

Monday-Friday 7am - 6pm CST

Can I get a transcript of the chat?

Yes! Navigate to the chat and select the download symbol in the upper-right corner. If you do not see this symbol, click on the top of the chat (where it say's the agent's name), and the download button will appear in the upper-right corner.
