Otus enables educators and administrators to upload SBAC (Smarter Balance Assessment Consortium) assessment data for students. This student information can be uploaded and viewed within the Analytics, 3rd Party module of the platform.
There are two options when it comes to uploading SBAC data:
➡️ Option 1: Send us the needed information for us to do the upload for you (this would usually follow having a conversation with your Otus Technology Coach or Account Manager regarding the expectations). If you are unsure, you can always reach out to us in the chat feature, or you can connect with your Otus Account Manage directly.
➡️ Option 2: Main Administrators can upload the data from within the Main Admin account, without needing to send it to us. The steps below will help with this option!
The Otus Student Performance Platform enables educators and administrators to upload Smarter Balance Assessment Consortium data for students.
➡️ Step 1: Access Analytics
Navigate to the Analytics module. By default you will land on the 3rd Party Data page.
➡️ Step 2: Add a New Tile (if needed)
If this is the first time you've uploaded SBAC data you will need to create a new tile.
Find the + Add New tile at the end of the list. Select this tile.
➡️ Step 3: Choose the Company
Select Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium from the product list and click the arrow to the right.
➡️ Step 4: Download and Complete the Template
The next few screens will provide you with the option to download a SBAC template and then upload data for individual testing years.
➡️ Step 5: Upload the Completed Template
Click the upload button next to the year the data was collected and select the appropriate file from your computer. (You can upload multiple years at a time before clicking the arrow to the right). A spreadsheet icon will appear next to the terms that have been successfully uploaded.
➡️ Managing Uploads
You can manage and upload new SBAC data by selecting the ellipsis located in the upper right hand corner of the SBAC tile and choosing Manage Uploads.
