When creating an assessment, one of the first steps is to select a Grading Scale. This determines how the assessment will be graded.
If you need to change the grading scale of a draft assessment, follow the directions below. Please keep in mind:
In order to change the grading scale, a new (cloned) copy of the assessment draft will be made. It is not possible to change the grading scale of an assessment after it has been assigned.
Grading scales can not be changed for Plus (+) assessments, as these do not allow for cloning. Instead, a new Plus assessment can be created using the new grading scale.
Changing the Grading Scale
While you can not directly change the grading scale of an assessment, you can clone the assessment and upon cloning, will have the option to specify the grading scale of your new copy.
Step 1: In your assessment Drafts, locate the assessment you wish to change the grading scale for and select the ellipsis. Choose Clone.
Step 2: Establish the details of the clone:
Name: Rename the clone.
Type: Change the category if you'd like
Assessment: This tells you if the assessment is an Advanced, Simple, or Rubric assessment. This is unable to be changed.
🌟 Grading Scale: Select the grading scale for this new copy.
Grading scales can be changed under the following circumstances:✅ Points > Non-Points
✅ Non-Points > Non-Points
🚫 Non-Points > Points
