🎯 Purpose
The Assessments View of the gradebook lets you enter or edit grades for all students on one page, whether you're updating scores one at a time or grading several students at once.
🔑 Key Functions
Individual Grade Entry: Double-click any student's cell to type in a score directly from the gradebook.
Bulk Grading: Select multiple students using checkboxes and auto-fill scores across the group in one action.
Status Assignment: Set or update an assignment status for each student alongside their grade.
Score Removal: Quickly delete a grade using keyboard shortcuts without leaving the gradebook.
✅ Prerequisites
A points-based assessment has already been assigned to your class.
You must be in the Assessments View. This process does not apply to standards-based assessments.
🔢 Steps
Step 1: From the home screen, select Gradebook.
Step 2: Select the correct class from the dropdown menu.
Step 3: Double-click in the student's cell for the assessment you want to grade and type in the desired score.
Step 4: Select the desired status from the dropdown menu as needed.
💡 Tip: To remove a score, press the Backspace or Delete key on your keyboard, then press Enter or Return to save the change.
Step 5: To grade multiple students at once, select student names using the checkboxes to the left. Enter the score for the top student in your selection the remaining selected students will auto-fill with the same score.

What if I don't see a box to add a score for a student?
You'll need to add that student to the assessment using manage assignees. Learn more here.
Can I remove students from the assessments or grades?
Yes! You can use manage assignees to unassign the assessment from these students.
Why can't I grade my standards assessments?
Assessments being graded using a grading scale are grouped according to the standard and not the assessment. Those assessments need to be adjusted on the grading page of the assessment. Learn how to manually grade each assessment type: simple assessment, rubric assessment, and advanced assessment.
