The assessments view of the gradebook allows you to enter or edit assessment grades for all students on one page. Adjust or enter grades for any points-based assessments one-by-one or for several students at a time.
If you need to create a plus assessment in the gradebook or add grades from work outside Otus, learn how to here.
Adding or Editing Assessment Grades
Step 1: From the home screen, select Gradebook.
Step 2: Select the correct class from the dropdown menu. *Please note: this type of grading can only be done in the assessments view for points-based assessments.
Step 3: Double-click in the student's cell for that assessment to type in the desired score.
Step 4: Select the desired status from the dropdown menu as needed.
If you need to remove the score, press the Backspace or Delete key on your keyboard. Then press the Enter or Return key to save that change.
💡Tip: Save time and grade multiple students at once! Select their names using the checkboxes to the left. Enter the desired score for the top student in your selection and the rest should auto-fill.

What if I don't see a box to add a score for a student?
You'll need to add that student to the assessment using manage assignees. Learn more here.
Can I remove students from the assessments or grades?
Yes! You can use manage assignees to unassign the assessment from these students.
Why can't I grade my standards assessments?
Assessments being graded using a grading scale are grouped according to the standard and not the assessment. Those assessments need to be adjusted on the grading page of the assessment. Learn how to manually grade each assessment type: simple assessment, rubric assessment, and advanced assessment.
