Analyze Item Status Data

Take a deeper look at the each item and its progress across all participants.

Item status analytics allows the viewer to:

  • See how many students fall into each category for an individual item on a plan.

  • See the average status for students on an individual item.

  • Click (drill down) to view individual student information.

  • Update item status for multiple students at one time.


View Item Status Analytics

  • Step 1: Navigate to the plan you wish to review.

  • Step 2: Select the Details tab.

  • Step 3: View the Item Status Analytics for each item.

The Students column indicates how many students have data being tracked in that particular item. In this example, 7 students have the Mathematics item on their plan.

Scale Values

  • The horizontal bar chart displays number of students in each level of the scale being used.

  • Hover over each section of the item's horizontal bar chart to see both the number and percentage of students who have been given a particular status for that item.

Example: This shows that 2 out of 7 students (28.57%) have been a status of Almost Complete on the "Level of Student 1:1 Follow-Up" component of the Science item.

  • Click on the bar chart to view the list of students that have values assigned for that item.

    • 1 - Click on any section of the chart to see only those students with that value.

    • 2 - Click on a student name to view their full performance history for that item.

    • 3 - Click 'filter' to search by sites, grade levels, student groups, ethnicity/race, and gender. Click 'apply' to see only those students who meet all selected criteria.

    • 4 - Click the download icon to export data for the selected students.

Point Values

  • The horizontal bar chart displays the lowest, average, and highest point values for that item.

  • Hover over the horizontal bar chart to see the number of students that have not been tracked and the total number of students that have been added to the plan.

Example: This shows the lowest point value given for the item Goal 1 is 2, the average is 3, and the highest is 4.

  • Click on the bar chart to view the list of students that have values assigned for that item.

    • 1 - Click on a student name to view their full performance history for that item.

    • 2 - Click 'filter' to search by sites, grade levels, student groups, ethnicity/race, and gender. Click 'apply' to see only those students who meet all selected criteria.

    • 3 - Click the download icon to export data for the selected students.


Update an Item Status for Multiple Students

When viewing details for an item status, you can also use the student list to update the status for multiple students at once.

  • Follow Steps 1-3 above, and click on the bar chart for the item you wish to update.

  • In the student list, check the boxes next to the students whose status you wish to update, then click in the Status column for any of those students.

  • Fill out the status update and click Next. Click Update in the confirmation message that appears.

  • You'll see that the item status has now been updated for all selected students.
