Do you have Nearpod Lessons you'd like to Add to Otus? You can do so with Nearpod's share option using an HTML embed code. Here's how!

Embedding Nearpod

  • Step 1: Log into Nearpod and find the lesson you want to embed.

  • Step 2: Hover over the lesson tile, click the three dots in the top right, and choose Share With Teachers.

  • Step 3: Choose the embed option, and copy the long string of code.

  • Step 4: You can now add this Nearpod lesson to Otus, either to your Bookshelf or as a Lesson Activity.

Adding as a Lesson Activity

  • Step 1: While editing your Lesson, Select Add Activity.

  • Step 2: Select Add Resource.

  • Step 3: Select the Page option.

  • Step 4: Name your resource and click Next.

  • Step 5: Select the HTML option in the Toolbar.

  • Step 6: While HTML is selected and all the other toolbar options are greyed out, paste the code you copied from Nearpod into the body of the page.

  • Step 7: Select the HTML option again. You should see a red box appear that says iFrame. This is correct!

  • Step 8: Select Done. Add Instructions to your Activity and select Save. You have now added a Nearpod activity to your Otus Lesson. Preview the lesson to see how it will look!

Adding as a Bookshelf Resource

  • Step 1: In your Bookshelf, click the Plus Sign to add a new resource.

  • Step 2: Select Resource.

  • Step 3: Select Page.

  • Step 4: Name your page, and select a class to share it with if you'd like (You can share later from My Bookshelf as well). Then, click Next.

  • Step 5: Follow Steps 5 through 7 as shown above.

  • Step 8: Select Done. You have now added the Nearpod activity as a Bookshelf resource. You can share this with classes, students or teachers through the bookshelf, or add them to a Lesson!
