⚙️ How It Works

Cohort Structure

The OCE program is organized into cohorts with a defined start and end timeline. Once you register, you are enrolled in a student account within Otus and assigned lessons and assessments to complete throughout the program.

Lessons & Assessments

Your coursework lives directly inside Otus. You'll complete lessons and assessments on a schedule, with due dates visible in your Otus account. Grading is completed weekly, so allow time for feedback to appear after submission.

Completion & Certification

After finishing all coursework, participants receive an exit lesson, followed by a cohort certificate and a digital email badge, recognition of your commitment to growing as an Otus educator.

📌 Tip: Use demo accounts to explore Otus features without any pressure. A Teacher Demo Account and Admin Demo Account are available so you can practice freely in a safe sandbox environment.

🔑 Login Credentials

Log in to your OCE Student account at my.otus.com using the email address convention and password outlined below. This is the email address you used to register for OCE.

🚪Welcome Lesson

Complete the Getting Started Lesson that has been assigned. This Lesson is where you will get started with the OCE Cohort you chose.

📅 Due Dates and Grading

  • All Lessons and Assessments need to be completed by the scheduled due date you will see on your assessments. You will see due dates are posted in Otus so you can easily track work completion.

  • Grading will be completed weekly, so you may not see updates immediately. Please be patient as you work through the course work. You do not need to reach out to Otus if you are waiting on grading to happen.

  • After completing all assessments and lessons, you can expect an exit lesson during the week of August 1st. Following that, you'll receive your well-deserved cohort certificate and email badge.

💬 Discord and Otus Educator Facebook Group

  • Discord is free text chat app that we'll use to connect throughout the OCE program. Discord is there for questions and socializing. Please note that Discord may be blocked if you are on school Wi-Fi.

  • Join the Otus Educator Facebook Group to continue the conversation and network.

  • Participating in these social media platform discussions is optional but encouraged!
