Student Guide: Submit a Rubric Assessment

For students: Learn how to open a rubric assessment that was assigned to you, attach your own files, and submit the completed assessment.

This step-by-step guide will show you how to log into Otus and take the rubric assessment that your teachers have assigned to you.

1️⃣ Log into Otus

Use your school email and password to log in.

Check with your teacher to see if you should use one of the sign-on options instead.

2️⃣ Click on Assessments.

➡️ Click directly on the notification that the assessment was assigned to go directly to that assessment.

➡️ Click on the assessment in your To Do list.

3️⃣ Find the Assessment in the List.

Find the assessment and click on it.

➡️ Search for your assessment in the search field.

➡️ Choose the class from the dropdown menu to narrow the search.

➡️ Filter your assessment list based on the status such as New!, Graded, Turned In, or In Progress.

4️⃣ Read the directions from your teacher and look for your teacher's attachments.

If your teacher added directions or attachments, you will see them at the top. Click on the attachments under the Teacher Attachments section. If your teacher didn't add directions or attachments, you won't have this section.

5️⃣ Complete the assessment.

Fill out the Google Doc.

If your teacher assigned a Google Doc with the rubric, you can type into the Doc directly below the rubric descriptions.

Add your own attachments.

If your teacher needs you to add an attachment, like a picture or video, here's how:

Select Choose file under Student Attachments.

Here are the step-by-step directions for adding each type of attachment:

6️⃣ Submit the assessment.

Click Submit Assessment.
