Student Guide: Add Attachments to Defense of Learning Assessments

For Students: Learn how to add attachments or artifacts to your Defense of Learning assessments and submit your assessment.

This step-by-step guide will show you how to log into Otus, find your Defense of Learning assessment, and attach your artifacts before you submit your assessment.


Log into Otus

There are a few different ways to log into Otus as a student with JCPS.

  • Choose Otus from your Clever student portal.

  • Choose the Clever icon on the Otus log in page.

  • Choose the Google icon on the Otus log in page and log in with your JCPS email and password.


Open Your Defense of Learning Assessment

❶ Open your assessment list.

Option 1: Open the Assessments module.

Option 2: Click directly on the notification on your home page.

Option 3: Click on the assigned assessment from the To Do list.

❷ Click on the Defense of Learning assessment from the list.


Attach Your Artifacts

❶ Click on Choose file at the bottom of the rubric.

❷ Select the type of attachment you need to attach and find the file on your device.

❸ Name your attachment and choose Save. Choose + Another File until you've attached all of your required artifacts.


Submit the assessment.

Click Submit Assessment and click Yes to confirm that you want to submit the assessment for grading.
