Once a lesson has been assigned, you can change any of the settings made when the lesson was initially assigned, such as due dates or start dates.

  • Step 1: Navigate to your Lessons module.

  • Step 2: Select your Assigned page.

  • Step 3: Select the class the lesson was assigned to. Note - if you assigned to more than one class at the same time, you will need to adjust the settings in each class. Settings changed for one class will not apply to the others.

  • Step 4: Select the ellipsis to the right of the desired lesson.

  • Step 5: Select Settings.

  • Step 6: Adjust any desired settings.

  • Step 7: Click Save.

From the settings page, how do I completely remove the due date or the start date?

  • To remove the due date, click the "x" to the right of the due date.

  • To delete the start date, toggle OFF the button for "Assign at a Later Date."

What Happens when the Settings are Changed?

Due Date:

  • Changes to the due date will be reflected in the due date column in the Lessons module (teachers and students) and in the To Do list (teacher, student, and family accounts).

Start Date:

  • If a start date is not initially assigned, but later added, the lesson will be removed from the students' list until the day of the start date.

  • Of a start date was initially assigned but is later removed, the students will immediately have access to the lesson.

Students must complete lesson activities in order:

  • This setting is best added prior to students starting the lesson. If students have already completed lesson activities out of order, after the setting is added, they will have access to the activity immediately following any previously-completed activities.

  • If the setting was selected when initially assigning, and is later removed, students will have immediate access to all lesson activities regardless of order of completion.
