Do you want to ask your students a question directly within a lesson? You've come to the right place! There are three question types that can be added as a lesson activity.

  • Multiple Choice
  • True/False
  • Short Answer

Multiple Choice

Create the Question

Step 1: When adding a new activity, select Add Question and then choose Multiple Choice.

Step 2: Build the question.

  • 1 - Type the contents of the question here. You can use bold, italics, or underline.
  • 2 - Add media here. Options include an image, audio recording, video recording, or YouTube video.
  • 3 - Type the answer options here. You can have up to 15 answer options.
  • 4 - Select the ellipsis to indicate the correct answer or remove the option.
  • 5 - Add additional answer options here.

Student Completion

When the student selects the tile within the lesson, the question will appear at the top, followed by any attached media. Students will select their answer, then select Submit.

Important Notes:

  • Once the student selects Submit, their answer becomes locked; they are not able to change their answer.
  • The activity is automatically marked as completed once the student selects Submit.

Viewing the Results

Navigate to the Lessons module. Select Assigned, and then select the lesson containing the activity.

Select the tile to see a breakdown of the results.

  • The contents of the question are at the top of the page.
  • The correct answer is indicated just under the question.
  • In the upper-right corner, you will see how many students have completed the activity out of the total students this activity was assigned to.
  • The bar chart indicates how many students selected each answer. Upon hovering, you will see the number of students that selected the answer, along with the percentage relative to the rest of the class.
  • The table lists the students in alphabetical order. For each student, it will show the date and time they submitted the activity, the status (completed, not started, or seen), and their response.

Can the students see the results?

Yes. The students are able to see the bar chart after they've completed the question. For more information on how the student can access the results, check out this(coming soon) article.

True/False

Create the Question

Step 2: Build the question.

  • 1 - Type the contents of the question here. You can use bold, italics, or underline.
  • 2 - Add media here. Options include an image, audio recording, video recording, or YouTube video.
  • 3 - Choose the correct answer of either True or False.

Student Completion

When the student selects the tile within the lesson, the question will appear at the top, followed by any attached media. Students will select True or False, then select Submit.

Short Answer

Step 2: Build the question.

  • 1 - Type the contents of the question here. You can use bold, italics, or underline.
  • 2 - Add media here. Options include an image, audio recording, video recording, or YouTube video.

Student Completion

  • When the student selects the tile within the lesson, the question will appear at the top, followed by any attached media.
  • Students will type into the response area (1000 character limit).
  • When they are finished, they will hit submit.

Important Notes:

  • Once the student selects Submit, their answer becomes locked; they are not able to change their answer.
  • The activity is automatically marked as completed once the student selects Submit.

Viewing the Results

Navigate to the Lessons module. Select Assigned, and then select the lesson containing the activity.

Click on the tile to see a breakdown of the results.

  • The contents of the question are at the top of the page.
  • In the upper-right corner, you will see how many students have completed the activity out of the total students this activity was assigned to.
  • The table lists the students in alphabetical order. For each student, it will show the date and time they submitted the activity, the status (completed, not started, or seen), and their response.
  • To see a student's full response, select their response.

Can the students see the results?

Yes. The students are able to see other responses after they've completed the question.
