Otus gives family members a simple way to contact teachers. By using the Mailbox, family members can email one or all of their student’s teachers with one click.

Notes about sending emails to teachers through Otus:

  • Emails sent to teachers from Otus go directly to that teachers' regular email inbox (not Otus).

  • Emails you send from the Otus Mailbox appear in the teacher's inbox as a message from mailbox@otus.com.

  • It is important to include your name or salutation in the message, as that is how the teacher will be able to identify who sent the message since it comes from mailbox@otus.com

  • A teacher can reply to your email sent from the Otus; they will go directly to your regular email inbox (not Otus)

➡️ First, select Classes from the home screen.

  • Click on the Envelope icon on a class tile to email just that individual teacher

  • Click on the Email All Teachers button to email all of your student's teachers.

➡️ From the Send Email screen, you can add recipients, enter a subject line, and type the message you’d like to send to your child’s teacher.

Once you’ve finished writing your message, select Send.

Once you send the email, it will look like this in the teacher's inbox:

  • Your name, your student's name, and your relationship to the student will display next to their email in their footer.

  • Your name will display as the sender of the email.
