Navigating Otus after using Google Classroom - Unpublished

While things may be done a bit differently in Otus than how they were done in Google Classroom, there are many similarities between the two.

Your school is now using Otus and you've been using Google Classroom for years. While Otus is new to you, keep in mind that Otus is able to do all of the important things that you did in Google Classroom- it just might look a bit different.



1. Class Tiles

Both Otus and Google Classroom will show your different classes as a tile. With Otus, your students will likely already be in your classes and will stay in sync with your SIS.


2. Rearrange Class Tiles

You can drag and drop your class tiles in Otus just like you can in Google Classroom.


3. Clicking Class Tiles

Clicking a Class Tile in Otus allows you to see more about that class, just like in Google Classroom.


4. Posting Announcements

The Class Board in Otus can be used to share information with students, similar to Stream in Google Classroom. You can link to a Google Doc or Slide directly from your Class Board!


5. Creating Assignments

The Lessons area in Otus allows you to create engaging lessons and assignments, similar to the Classwork section in Google Classroom. You can link to a Google Doc or Slide directly from your Lessons or use our Assessment tool to create unique copies of Slides or Docs for each student with a side-by-side rubric!


6. Access to Google Drive

Easily access your Google Drive in Otus, just like you can in Google Classroom.


7. Review Student Submissions

View and grade student work in Otus, just like you can in Google Classroom.
