The blog works similarly to a blog you could publish outside of Otus. You can view your class feed where blogs published by your teacher and classmates will be visible, or you can publish your own content.

View and Comment on Your Class Blog

1️⃣ Go to the Blog module.

2️⃣ Find the right class and choose Class Feed.

3️⃣ Click on a post to see the entire post.

4️⃣ Read the post and follow any directions your teacher gives you.

  • If your teacher added attachments, you can find them here.

  • If you need to comment, you can click Add.

Publish Your Own Blog Post

1️⃣ Go to the Blog module.

2️⃣ Click Create Post.

3️⃣ Choose the class you want to publish the blog for. Then add a title to your post.

4️⃣ Create your post.

5️⃣ Add pictures if you'd like.

1 - Add pictures to the body of your post:

2 - Add it as an attachment which will let you take a live picture If you need to.

6️⃣ Add other attachments (like videos or voice recordings).

  • Click Choose a file select the type of attachment, or drag your file directly to the spot.

  • Choose the type of attachment you'd like to add.

7️⃣ Save as draft or publish your post.

1 : POST NOW vs. SCHEDULED

Post now will publish your blog post immediately after you click Publish. Scheduled will set your blog post to be published on the date you choose in the date picker.

2 : Allow Comments

Allow for your classmates to comment on your blog if you'd like.

3 : Save as Draft vs. Publish

Save as a Draft saves the current copy of your blog post so you can come back to publish it later. When you click Publish, the post is published right away (or at the time it was scheduled to publish if a date and time were picked).

4 : Private

Choose to make the blog visible only to your teacher.

8️⃣ View your post on the class feed.

Edit or Delete Your Post

Click on the three dots next to the post you want to edit and click Edit or Delete.

Message a Teacher Privately

To send your teacher a message without the rest of the class seeing it, you can make your Blog post Private. That way, it's only visible to the teacher and your family members. Here's how to do it!

When publishing your blog post, click on the button next to Private to turn it ON:

If a blog was already posted but you want to make it private, go to My Posts, select the three dots next to the post, and then select Edit:
