You have a Bubble Sheet assessment, and now you'd like to add, delete, or edit questions on that assessment. There are two scenarios to consider; which one applies most to what you are wanting to accomplish?

Scenario 1

You want to add a question, remove a question, or edit the standards attached to a question.

➡️ Adding or Deleting a Question:

  • While in the assessment builder, use the + button in the bottom-left corner to add a question. To delete a question, select the X located at the end of the question row.

➡️ Scanning and Grading Implications for Adding or Deleting a Question:

  • When a question is added or removed, new Bubble Sheets MUST be printed.

  • The assessment does not have to be unassigned/reassigned, but any previous versions of the Bubble Sheets for that assessment will no longer scan. New forms must be printed to reflect the changes made to the assessment.

  • If a question has been deleted, you may have to adjust your answer key; questions shift "up" when a question is deleted, therefore, you will need to double-check that the remaining questions have the correct answers selected.

➡️ Editing Standards

  • To add additional standards to a question:

    • Select the standard currently attached.

    • Choose ALL desired standards (including the one that is currently attached).

    • Select Link Standards. The parenthesis indicate how many standards you have selected.

  • To replace a standard on a question:

    • Select the standard currently attached.

    • Choose the new standard(s).

    • Select Link Standards

  • To delete a standard from a question:

    • Currently, once a standard has been added, it can't be "deleted". It can be replaced, but not deleted.

➡️ Scanning and Grading Implications for Adjusting the Linked Standards

  • Changing the standards has no affect on the student's Bubble Sheets. New forms do not need to be printed, nor does the assessment have to be unassigned/reassigned. The adjustment to the standards will immediately reflect in the gradebook without needing to rescan.

Scenario 2

You want to change an answer on the answer key

  • While in the assessment builder, you can easily select or deselect the answers to each question. You can also edit the point values if you choose.

➡️ Scanning and Grading Implications for Adjusting Answer

  • New forms do not need to be printed if correct answers are changed.

  • GradeCam WILL NOT automatically adjust scores for the answer key change. For students that have a score already recorded, those answer sheets will need to be rescanned or manually scored to accommodate the answer key change.
