Add Video to an Assessment

Upload or record video in a simple, rubric, or advanced assessment.

Simple and Rubric Assessments

The steps for adding video to Simple and Rubric assessments are identical, with the exception of the first step (how to add an attachment in general). After Step 1, all steps are the same.

  • Step 1 (Simple): Select the Video icon when creating a question.

  • Step 1: (Rubric): Select Choose File under the Attachments section in your rubric draft. Then select the Video icon.

Step 2: Choose how you want to add your video.

  • If you want to add a video that is already on your device, select Browse. The maximum file size Is 30mb.

  • If you want to record a live video with your device, select Record Video. The video can be up to 5 minutes long.

If choosing to record a live video, follow Steps 3-6. If you are adding a video that is already on your device, skip these steps, and locate your video file on your device.

Step 3: Select the camera icon.

Step 4: Select the record button.

Step 5: When you are done recording, select the stop button.

Step 6: Add a name to your video recording, then select Save.

  • Acceptable file types: YouTube, Vimeo, Brightcove (method 2 only), mp4

  • Maximum file size for an mp4: 100mb
