Both teachers and students have the ability to star assessments and blog posts, putting them in a section of the student profile that parents can see. This is a great way to save work that the teacher or student is proud of to view later and share with families.
Uploading an Item to the Portfolio
While the individual modules of Otus have their own way of being added to the portfolio, you can upload anything to the portfolio from the student profile.
Navigate to the class that contains the student you wish to upload work for.
Click on the diagonal arrows in the top right of the applicable student tile, then click Portfolio.
To add a new item, click + Add to Portfolio.
First, you'll have to title the upload, and specify which class you are connecting it to. Then, click the upload button to bring up our upload options: Video URL, Image URL, File Upload, GoogleDrive, etc. Also, there is an optional comment section for the teacher to explain why they wish to share this to the student portfolio.
When you have selected the item and clicked Done, click Save to finalize.
Starring an Assessment for the Portfolio:
Navigate to Assessments.
Click on the subcategory, Assigned Assessments.
Click Grade to view a list of the students to whom you assigned the assessment you wish to add to the portfolio.
You should see a column next to each student's name with list of hollow stars. Click on the star if you wish to add the assessment and score to your student's portfolio.
Once you click the star, Otus will prompt you to add an optional reason for choosing this assessment for the student's portfolio. Once finished, click Save.
Starring a Blog Post for the Portfolio:

Select Class Feed to view your students' posts.
Next to each student's post, there is a star icon along with a standards, trash, and settings icon. Click the star to add the post to the student's portfolio.
